Skin preparation
Before applying foundation, your skin should b clean. Use cleanser to cleanse your face then wash it off with a good face wash. Apply toner and then a good moisturizer according to your skin type. You face is ready for foundation.
Application of foundation
Foundation is base of any makeup. If your foundation is not good, your makeup will not stay longer. Always use good cosmetics rather than new cosmetics. Foundations from Mac cosmetics are really good. I have explained foundations according to the skin types in our Bridal course.
Apply concealer under eyes and on dark spots and cover that area very well.
Take a sponge or foundation brush and apply foundation on your jaw line and cheeks in upward strokes. Upward strokes technique prevent from skin aging problems. Now apply base on nose and on eye lids. Blend it very well. Apply foundation on center of the forehead and blend it towards both outer sides with the hair line.
Foundation need hairline should be very thin so that it may look natural. Now have a complete look on your face and see if there is any place that needs to be covered or it is all well blended. After the base is completed apply loose powder on your face with makeup brush. It will keep your makeup fresh.
Contouring and highlighting
Contour your face to defining face structure and highlighting features. In artistic makeup you can also use dark shades to highlight your cheeks. You can use dark pink, peach or any other color. here I have shown some pictures of artistic makeup so give you an idea of whole makeup. Contour your face according to the defined portions in this picture. Your strokes on cheeks should be upward towards your temples.
